Dining • Cafe in Danbury - Just 4 blocks from the Inn is another Danbury do not miss spot. Here you will find cafe with homemade food a wide variety menu and great service. While you're there you can check out their large gift shop (no website, but link will take you to a map) • St. Croix Casino Buffet - Just a short walk from the Inn located right in the Hole in the Wall Casino. Loose Change Cafe can provide our guests lunch and dinner Monday through Sunday • The Fishbowl - A nice short drive 5 miles to the North of the Inn, and is WELL wroth the visit! If you plan on staying a full week, on Monday nights they offer a HUGE HOT roast beef sandwich. A different menu served all during the week. Each night as good as the other! Recreation • Gandy Dancer Trail - Located directly behind the Lodge, this former Soo Line railroad has been developed into a multi-use, recreational trail system for biking and hiking in the summer, and snowmobiling in the winter. Stretching from St. Croix Falls to Superior, the 98 mile trail passes through Burnett, Douglas and counties in Wisconsin and Pine County in Minnesota. In addition to scenic views of lakes, rivers and forests, the Gandy's close proximity to towns and marked mile post signs provide easy access to food and information. • Pardun's Canoe Rental - Right in the town of Danbury you can rent a canoe. They offer shuttle service. Costumed interpreters interact with visitors in an Ojibwa village setting, fur trade post and four trader's cabins. Native American gifts, books and jewelry are available in the gift shop.
